About IV Access & Our Founder, Peggy Gotte

Our CEO and founder, Peggy Gotte started in medical profession at 16 as a volunteer EMT helping those in her community and falling in love with the ability to help others. She advanced to Paramedic and Rn working prehospital and emergent care for many years. On a bet Peggy was challenged to apply for a position with a fire dept in Florida, and successfully became one of the very first female firefighters in the State of Florida working for Delray Fire Department.

Peggy went on to have three children, all of whom are vascular access specialists today. In the early days of IV Access, Peggy was able to bring her children to the bedside of her patients teaching them vascular access at a very young age. As her children grew in age, they advanced from holding her patients’ hands to setting up sterile fields, learning the paperwork, answering phones and questions to becoming vascular access specialists.

Today her sons Shane and Mathew work occasionally for IV Access maintaining their skills but have started a construction company keeping themselves busy. Melanie Joined IV Access straight out of Nursing school, placing lines for the company and has advanced into the CNO role for IV Access taking over the helm of the day to day operations along with Peggy. Together IV Access continues to maintain their high standards and incredible success.

In the company's first few years, its client base grew to dozens of nursing homes and medical offices simply by word of mouth. Peggy chose not to advertise and grow until she was ready for the growth without compromising patient care. Peggy wanted to grow the company with a reputation of being the best in the industry, not for being the biggest. As time went on calls from more and more facilities began requesting contracts and as of today IV Access is one of the largest vascular access companies in the country.
