Mathew is the oldest of three children, after graduating high school Mathew became a firefighter/Paramedic but quickly knew he needed more challenges and went back to school to become a nurse and join in the family business. Graduating top of his class, he quickly knew he had chosen the right path. Today Mathew is an amazing vascular access nurse with unmatched success rates. He is a field nurse placing in our busier hospitals throughout Fort Lauderdale representing IV Access at it’s Best! Mathew also works with our new nurses evaluating their skills and teaching them the new technology.
When Mathew is not working he can be found on the water fishing or boating with mans best friend, his dog Klutch!

Biography
Maelena Hood who is better known as “Mae” has been with IV Access since 2014 as an office assistant. Her work ethic and loyalty along with her never-ending smile and need to please makes Mae a wonderful addition to our family. Mae is a devoted mother of three beautiful children, Thomas age 21, who has been serving in the army for the past three years, Nola 12 and Jolie 10.

Melanie was the first of the three children to go into nursing and obtain her RN license in 2011. Melanie knew from the start she wanted to be a vascular access nurse as she had spent a lot of time in the field prior to graduation alongside her mother watching and learning. Melanie quickly picked up the skills needed to be a fantastic vascular access nurse and today is the Director of Nurses of IV Access, responsible for the hiring, education of staff, as well as the liaison between many of our hospital contracts and IV Access ensuring effective staffing and communication. Melanie also works with our clients setting up education classes coordinating educators and teaching from time to time.
