PIV Line Insertion

Peripheral Lines (PIV) is a small short plastic catheter most commonly used in patients in the hospital setting. They are placed in small veins in the scalp, hand and arm or babies for short durations of therapy and considered low risk procedures.

Innovative technology reducing costs by allowing placement of intravenous lines through ultrasound guidance. No need for tip placement verification through X-ray.

  • Short duration – 2 to 3 days – venous access
  • Easy ultrasound guidance insertion technology
  • Fluid/Electrolyte administration
